Formed in 1962, Chapeltown ASC provides competitive swimming at local, county and national level. Over 80 swimmers of all ages and abilities are trained by a professional swimming coach to improve technique and stamina with regular opportunities to take part in swimming galas.		Announcements Chapletown ASC AGM Tuesday 23rd February 2010 The Club's Annual General Meeting is a vital part of the running your club; held every year the meeting covers a number of important actions including the election of officials to run all aspects of your club. Everyone is encouraged to attend the meeting and help support the club with feedback, input, and selection of officials - please come along and have your say. The club is always in need of new officials to help out a variety of roles, all of which are suitable for parents/guardians without any specialist knowledge in swimming or the role itself - help, advice and assistance will be provided and it's a chance for parents/guardians to do their bit in running their club. This year the AGM will be held in the private function room of The Ranch (a short walk from Chapeltown Baths - link to map below) where a bar will be available. The meeting will start at 7.30pm. Please note that any points you would like raising at the meeting must be with the Club's secretary, Tracy Lever, on or before 9th February in line with the Club's constitution or they cannot be raised. A list of roles is available on the Club's notice board at the Baths along with a space for new volunteers to enter their names - there are a number of positions where the current person is standing down and it's vital for the Club that new volunteers take up these roles. The club, which is run by parents, has a strong emphasis on fun and friendship with many social events for parents and swimmers throughout the year.
	Swimmers are trained by coach Bob Grayson who is a professional swimming teacher, Bob has been the coach of the club for several years. Pool side assistance such as Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Lifeguards, Time Keepers, Judges and Fitness Trainers is provided by parents and volunteers so there’s a great opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the club. more...
