10th Anniversary Bolstertone Male Voice Choir Charity Golf Day, held at Stocksbridge Golf Club on 7th July 2006

Steve Swinburn, Tom Barlow, Craig Billard (kindly standing in for Peter Rose who was called in to work) and Kevin Canetti (below left) get ready to tee-off, full of hope and confidence (well more hope than confidence!)

After a good start Tom finds his ball in a water hazard (above right) and goes for a Tiger Woods splash out shot, he ends up walking back up the hill as the ball ends up 10 yards behind him!

Tom celebrates his first par (below left) after holing out by using the putter 10 feet off the green to sink the ball from a trick lie – his celebratory shouts bring the course to a standstill. Having proven the putter can be played from anywhere, he proceeds to attempt to play it from everywhere bar the tee for the remaining holes!

Steve ponders a “Maradona” putt – a tricky little 5 footer! (above right)

We take on oxygen after reaching the summit on the 17th green – an absolutely huge climb over two holes leaves us breathless but gives Steve a chance to review the scores (below left); nowp, which ever way you look at it we’re not going to win!

After paying the Sherpas off (above right), we prepare for decent on the final hole…see next picture.

Seen from near the green (below) you get some idea of the height of the course, and especially the 18th tee-off area – the red circle shows where the previous picture was taken, the next group are preparing to play the hole.

Great company, good golf, and plenty of money raised for a fine cause.
