Chapeltown ASC swimmers in water Polo Gold and Silver!

Four of Chapeltown ASC’s swimmers helped secure Gold and Silver in the Sheffield Water Polo Tournament held at Chapeltown Baths on 7^th October. The 10-14 age group team which included Bruce Dickinson and Daniel Canetti saw of competition from 9 Sheffield teams to win Gold, whilst the 7-9 age group, which included sisters Jane and Sarah Winterbottom, collected a Silver.

Teams from King Edwards, Concord, Hillsborough, City of Sheffield Water Polo Club, Sheffield Swim School, and Chapeltown took part in the two competitions for the different age groups. The Chapeltown teams secured their first and second places in the over the two 24 match competitions.

Chapeltown’s Coaches Dawn Hinsley and Bob Grayson were delighted with the performance, “it was a very competitive tournament with a lot of quality water polo on display, both Chapeltown teams worked hard throughout the tournament and deserved their medals.” commented Dawn.
