30th April 2006 Chapeltown ASC Swimmers in Don District Cub Gala Sunday 30th of April saw Chapeltown Swimming Baths home of Chapeltown ASC host the annual Don District Cub Gala. Cub teams from around the region including Chapeltown's own 82nd competed for the prestigious Don District Annual Gala Team Trophy. The 82nd had two teams competing, the Red team and the Blue team which included two of our swimmers, Daniel Fitzgerald and Ashley Fearn. Daniel represented the 8 year olds and Ashley the 10 year olds and from the start of the very first race it looked like the 82nd team were going to be difficult to beat. And so at the end of the afternoon the results were announced with the 82nd Blue team receiving the Trophy, Ashley Fearn won three team races (backstroke, freestyle & breaststroke) and he also won the Individual Cub Championship Freestyle Trophy.
