Message from the Head Coach
Over the past month there have been a number of major competitions attended by Chapeltown ASC; the Yorkshire Championships in Leeds and the North East Regional Short course Championship at Sheffield.
The swimmers within the club have proven that they can compete with the best out there from the larger clubs, and this has resulted in excellents times, top ten positions, medals and high national ranking positions.
Ella Johnson participated in the Yorkshire Championship 22nd and 23rd October 2022 and came away with six medals for the following strokes and distances:
50m Backstroke - Gold 100m Freestyle - Gold 100m Backstroke - Gold 50m Freestyle - Silver
100 Individual Medley - Silver 50 Breaststroke - Bronze
Ben Scott participated in the North East RegionalChampionship 5th November 2022 and came away with one Gold medal for 50m Breaststroke, and more impressive is that he is now ranked 5th in England
Such an excellent effort by these two individuals, and all the swimmers within the club that have competed recently. They are going from strength to strength and this is down to their dedication, training, enjoyment and having a great team spirit. Well done!
